    Abstract:

In order to analyze the launch vehicle’s structural transient responses in the phases of HDSR, the hold-down and soft release(HDSR) take-off event of launch vehicle was divided into three phases, including the static phase, hold-down phase and the soft release phase. The fields function, selected group analysis function and the CBUSH1D element’s nonlineardisplacement vs. load function of MSC.Patran were also used. The other two commonly used release techniques of launch vehicle were also analyzed. The computational results indicated the HDSR technique can reduce the impact load acting on the launch vehicle and reduce the launch vehicle’s structural transient response effectively.
