    Abstract:

    To realize the aircraft maneuvering turn during ground operations,the aircraft’ s nosewheel control systemshouldprovidetherateofnosewheeldeflectionashigheraspossible.To prevent the aircraft’ s wheel fromlateralslipthedeflectionrateshouldbelimitedinacertainrange.Take a certain type of aircraft as anex- ample,theeffectoflateralslipunderthelargenosewheeldeflection,thefrictioncoefficientontheground,the aircrafttaxiingspeedandtherateofnosewheeldeflectionareanalyzed.Resultsshowthattheaircraftmakes largenosewheeldeflectionattherateof0.3~0.4rad/s,itcanbasicallymeetthegroundstabilityrequirements, buttoreducetheriskoflateralsliponthelowfrictionpavement,the rate of nose wheel deflection needs to be re- ducedwhenthenosewheeldeflectstoalargeangle.
